Cowboy layout, I know.

For the foreseeable future, this site will serve two functions: 1. to operate as a FrontPage testing bed for my next web project and 2. to exhibit my piano practice session recordings for a small audience.

Below, you will find links to my recordings.  The recordings I choose to upload are of pieces with which I have achieved an acceptable level of technical proficiency.  Otherwise, you would hear me repeating sections again and again to get them right.  These still are sub par, but anyone could tell you that.

However, the purpose of this exhibition is not to show off impressive professional skill.  Rather, through this site, the audience might see my playing evolve over the course of the next few years.  If nothing else, it will motivate me to hog the local practice rooms at UC of Los Angeles.

Expect updates about every two weeks.  I have more to my life, you know.

To start download: right-click on the link and hit "Save target as," or something to that effect.  I

f that doesn't work, try getting the file address from the weblinks and put that into your address bar.

Then, try to directly access the file.  And if that fails...well...do you know where I can get some nice, free webspace?

Frédéric Chopin Revolutionary Etude (Etude Op. 10, No. 12) Revised with some extra note-age...but still lacking, as a result.  You can tell where I hesitate.
Nobuo Uematsu FF7 Main Theme (OST sheet music) Technical errors evident; you can tell where I wasn't familiar with the notes.  Will work to put up a better recording.

Comments

Frédéric Chopin Revolutionary Etude (Etude Op. 10, No. 12) Technically lacking, current interpretation leaves something to be desired
Trois Etudes, No. 1 Technically deficient; needs work on fingering and interpretation
Scott Joplin Maple Leaf Rag Suffers from flaws in the recording itself; needs work on fingering and proper swing and interpretation
Koji Kondo Zelda Theme (Gerard improvised version) Technically acceptable; difficulty and impressibility of rendition is lacking
